Priyanka Chopra as a National Green Ambassador

Minister Jairam Ramesh has announced that Bollywood actress, Priyanka Chopra will be India’s green ambassador. She will initiate the eco friendly campaigns in India for Environment and Forests.

The minister says that he is in talks with Priyanka Chopra about her campaigns. She will be participating in environment friendly campaigns with projects like tiger conservation, river cleaning and global warming.

Priyanka Chopra is also a green ambassador for NDTV- Toyota’s environment campaign ‘Greenathon’. Recently, she also present at Green Awards event, which is aimed to encourage the people who contribute towards environment conservation.

The 28-years-old, actress says that she is happy to be a National Green Ambassador. She says that it is a small effort by individuals to keep our surroundings clean and green.
