Priyanka Chopra the UNICEF Ambassador for Girl Education in India

Yesterday, it was announced that Bollywood actress, Priyanka Chopra has been appointed as a UNICEF ambassador. She will explain the need of girl education in India.

Talking about the news, the actress says that she is very conscious of social responsibilities. Priyanka Chopra even says, “Working for children means a lot to me because when I visited the girls in slums it educated me a lot,”

In the campaigns she will participate in health awareness programs and need of girl’s basic education. Karen Kulshof, representative of UNICEF admits that Priyanka Chopra is a symbol of youth. She will be the UNICEF ambassador, working on public service announcements for children.
