‘Mother: The Indira Gandhi Story’ Movie: Priyanka Chopra to Play Indira Gandhi

Bollywood actress, Priyanka Chopra is all set to play a lead role in the biopic on late prime minister Indira Gandhi in the movie ‘Mother: The Indira Gandhi Story‘. Earlier, actress Madhuri Dixit has walked out of the project due to some personal issues.
Now, Priyanka Chopra has been roped to play the role of Indira Gandhi in the film. Indian origin US filmmaker Krishna Shan plans to make the movie with huge budget in two parts. The movie will be based on the life history of Indira Gandhi, who is known as Iron Lady.
Krishna Shan also
plans to cast the Academy Award winning, Jenny Shircore in the movie. After seeing many photographs of many Indian actresses, Shircore fells that Priyanka would be the best suitable to play the role and he also feels that Priyanka Chopra’s face would match with Indira Gandhi after doing some prosthetic work on her face.
Shahs also consulting other actors like Albert Finney, Emily Watson, Tom Hanks and Tommy Lee Jones to play other characters in the film. Shah says that first part of the film will be based on the Indira Gandhi’s life during the time of 1971 war and second part will shows her personal life as a mother.
