‘Golmaal 3’ Wins Diwali Box Office: ‘Golmaal 3’ takes a lead in the big clash at the box-office against ‘Action Replayy’. These two movies were released on Friday, the Diwali day when the country was busy with festivities. The films picked up on Saturday, but only Golmaal 3 managed to hold over the weekend.

Golmaal 3 is second sequel of the Golmaal series. Golmaal had already established its brand as a zany comedy from its past two movies. The combination of the Akshay Kumar and Vipul Shah had a 100% success at the box-office. Previously, the duo also worked inn the Aankhen, Namastey London and Singh is King Films and that films had a 100% success ratio at the box-office.

The occupancy for ‘Golmaal 3’ was around 80-90% while ‘Action Replayy’ was much low with only 30-40% occupancy. The Golmaal 3 was colleted around Rs. 60 crores in India in that Rs. 40 crores are collected by internet and Rs. 10 crores overseas. The film opened across 2000 plus screens worldwide.

The Sr. Vice precedent of the Eros International Media Ltd, Nandu Ahuja said, “Golmaal 3 opened at 80% – 90% occupancy across the country. Moreover, the long Diwali weekend helped draw in large footfalls in theatres. The film is running packed shows all over India and the current figures strongly indicate that the film is a blockbuster in the making.”
