Dharmendra Entered Into 75

Dharmendra, who hails from Sahnewal town near the industrial city of Ludhiana, 110 km from Chandigarh, was a popular Bollywood hero in the 1960s and 1970s. He was the main lead in the Bollywood blockbuster, Sholay. He made his debut in Bollywood with the film “Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere” with his wife Hema Malini.

Bollywood legend Dharmendra, who celebrates his 75th birthday today, says that despite his age and accomplishments and feeling that he is still young, learning more from life and trying to find out why a human being never experiences fulfillment and satisfaction. One of the hit pairs of 1970s and 1980s, Dharmendra-Hema were last seen together in the 1996 movie Aatank.

Dharmendra, who completes a golden run on celluloid this year, said he did not view the film industry as part of his profession, but as a part of his life. Dharmendra celebrated his birth day with his family and close friends.

Dharmendra was admitted to the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education (PGIMER) in Chandigarh following chest pain on Wednesday. Doctors at the PGIMER said that the actor’s health was being kept under observation.
